Nicole Ari Parker has worked in film, TV and also on stage. The actress is best known for her character Teri (the vigorous lawyer) Joseph. Nikki Kodjoe is her new name after she married. As a child, she was a natural actor. At a Maryland competition with high school students, she took home the award for Best Actress. After her experience in the acting and in "The Washington Ballet Company" and "The Washington Ballet Company", she earned an acting diploma from New York University. The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love was her first big role. Following this, she starred in movies like "Boogie Nights Spark" and "Blue Streak". The TV series Soul Food' was immensely loved. Her TV appearances included Second Time Around and Empire. Early in her career she performed in various stage productions. Parker, who is involved in politics, is married to model and actor Boris Kodjoe. The couple has two kids.
Contractor, who was brought up by his parents from Nigeria and Mumbai prior to turning seven, had traveled around the world and experienced many cultures as a child. After boarding school, during seven years of London the family moved to Toronto Canada in which she lived for the majority of her childhood and into early adulthood. Contractor was a wonderful pupil in Toronto and trained as an expert ballet dancer. She was a student at the Etobicoke School of the Arts in Toronto, an arts school which focuses on theatre and dance. Contractor aged 16 at the time she realized that acting was going to become her profession. Dance was her passion for almost 10 year. She received a full-scholarship grant to pursue a degree at the University of Toronto after graduating. She earned a master's degree in theatre as well as a double major in psychology and social science. After a single year at University, Contractor went to an audition on a call-to-action basis for the show Pericles at the prestigious, world-renowned Stratford Shakespeare Festival [Ontario, Canada and was offered the role of lead. After two weeks of performances, she got glowing reviews. The production was recognized as the best production by Canadian the critics. The actress accepted an invitation to enroll in Stratford's conservatory. It is a place which allows just four men and eight women can take an intensive 20-week program in classical theatre. Contractor's spot was assured in the next season of shows, and she landed Hermia's role in A Midsummer Night's Dream.
